When should I arrive to my appointment?
You should arrive to your appointment 5 minutes early for client consultation.Intake forms are due before massage and can be completed at booking. Intake for will be reviewed before each massage.
Where are you located?
We are located at 1329 Cherry Way Dr Columbus, Ohio 43230 Pickerington, Ohio 43147 Suite 110 Room 7. Parking is free and plenty. Once you arrive I will greet you at the door and we will walk back to the unit together. We are located on the first ffloor and also handicap accessible.
Will a massage hurt?
While there may be some discomfort when tight or tense muscles are massaged, it should be minimal with a primary focus on relaxation. If you feel yourself tightening up or feeling pain or discomfort for more than a moment, please tell your massage therapist so they can adjust the pressure. Likewise, communicating about any injuries can help minimize the risk of pain during and after your massage.
Should I be quiet or talk during my massage?
The purpose of massage is to have time to relax your mind and body. You are not obligated to maintain a conversation with your therapist. That being said, you are encouraged to communicate if you need something in order to be more comfortable. We are here to provide you with the best experience possible; knowing if you are too hot, too cold, in an awkward position, or need a moment to use the rest room is a key part of that.
What if I need to use the restroom while I’m in the middle of my massage?
Simply let your massage therapist know. Massage can also stimulate digestion, so it is not uncommon to pass gas during a session. No need to be embarrassed, it happens! If you are concerned about this happening, try avoiding high-fiber foods before your appointment.
Can I work out on the same day I get a massage?
Yes, but to get the most benefit from your massage, it is best to work out before. Your muscles will likely be tired from the exercise but warmed up for the massage. Working out immediately after could cause strain to your body or result in your being tired and accidentally causing injury. It is best to wait 12-24 hours before exercising to let your muscles recover.
You may undress to your level of comfort. Many people prefer to keep their underwear on during a massage, while others choose to be nude. Your massage therapist will leave the room so you can undress and lie on the massage table under a top sheet. Regardless if you choose to maintain some clothing or not, your massage therapist will always ensure that you are always properly covered.
Individual preference varies, so for most it depends on your pain, physical needs, emotional needs, and of course, budget.
